Antique Kacip

Kacip is a splitting tool made of steel , is used for peeling and blending areca nut. This device consists of two parts : the top as the blade and the bottom as a base to put the areca nut which will be split or blended . Thus , each part has its own function . Therefore , kacip can be said as a symbol of agreement . Kacip is well known and used in most of Malay culture .   For some communities in Indonesia , kacip also believed to be a fortunate thing that has a certain advantage to the owner .
